The philosophy of sustainability permeates almost every area of the Hotel Krone in Au – from the use of regional food sourced directly from farmers, to architecture that relies on local materials, to e-mobility.

For our guests who want to travel sustainably, we have been offering two e-charging stations directly at the hotel since 2014. We also promote environmentally friendly forms of travel by reimbursing bus tickets. Our own electric car also helps us to carry out daily tasks in a resource-saving manner – in this way, we actively promote the conscious use of energy and nature.

At Hotel Krone in Au, sustainability is reflected in every corner—especially in the architecture. Since 1998, we have placed great importance on involving local artisans and using local materials. In this way, we not only support the local economy, but also reduce CO₂ emissions and protect the environment. Traditional craftsmanship and modern construction methods combine to create a distinctive feel-good atmosphere that is deeply rooted in the region.

At the Krone restaurant in Au, we have always focused on regional quality. We work closely with more than 25 farms in the Bregenzerwald to ensure that we always use local products such as meat, milk, and cheese.
